He was 49 years old. An Essex police spokesman confirmed that a 49-year-old had died in Essex, The Guardian reported Monday. The death is not being treated as suspicious. The Prodigy were one of the most popular dance/electronic groups of the nineties, with Flint often being regarded as the frontman of the band. Flint, who was originally a dancer for the band, became more prominent after the release of the band's third album, Fat of the Land, where he contributed vocals to hit songs Firestarter and Breathe. The band had a scheduled 2019 tour in the U.S. and Europe. Tributes from friends and fans are pouring in on Twitter: Oh bugger, Keith Flint. Recall hearing from someone whose parents lived next door to Keith in Essex, what a lovely man he was, and the perfect neighbour. He would always call round with a quality bottle of something for them every Christmas. 😕 #RIPKeithFlint pic.twitter.com/Cr36foAw4O — Neil Lindsay (@NeilLindsay) March 4, 2019 This story is developing...
